As a family-managed business, we have been offering chemical-technical consultancy and the trade of thermoset materials, silicone elastomers and chemical specialties for plastic-processing companies, as well as products for the casting industry, since 1949. As a producer of binding agents based on furan/phenolic and alkyd resin as well as the corresponding hardeners for cast steel, we have been supplying the casting industry ever since our company was founded. As an exclusive representative of well-known producers in the composite industry, we deal in a wide range of chemical specialties for use in the most varied areas of application – including: • Epoxy and polyester resin systems • Epoxy prepregs • Liquid silicone rubber • Adhesives • Halogen-free flame retardants • Graphene • Reinforcement materials (glass rovings, mats, fabrics). • We also offer room-temperature-curing and liquid silicones for use in sealants and moulding compounds, and for applications in medical technology, health care and the electrical industry (liquid silicone rubber). Collaboration with our partner companies in particular allows us to be in dialogue with important and innovative plastic-processing companies, and to work together on new developments and projects. We supply both the basic raw materials and special additives, which we optimise together with our suppliers and customers so that they're customised depending on the application.

Over 15, 000 Arcotec pretreatment systems in use worldwide are a testimony to our consistently high quality and unique know-how in the field of surface pretreatment. 1997 - Introduction of the atmospheric plasma machine (Arcospot®), which distributes high-energy spark discharges. The introduction of the atmospheric plasma machines in particular opened up the market for materials that are difficult to treat at high feed rates. 1991 - Another physical treatment principle, “flame treatment”, was introduced. 1985 - Arcotec GmbH was founded. Pretreatment systems 1976 - Development and deployment of the world’s first plasma machine with open jet electrodes (Arcojet®) for treating plastic moulded parts; this works with electric plasma. Pretreatment systems 1975 - Production of the pretreatment machines begins using high-frequency corona. Pretreatment systems 1974 - Fritz Bloss founded an independent commercial agency.
